Overview
Join the English Language Teachers Association of Nigeria (ELTAN) for its milestone 15th Annual National Conference. This year’s conference is anchored on the recognition that English Studies remains a dynamic, interdisciplinary field with far-reaching implications for national growth. Hence, this gathering brings together educators, researchers, and policymakers to explore the evolving landscape of English language education under the theme: "Expanding Frontiers in English Studies for Sustainable Development in Nigeria."
As the world shifts toward digital integration and globalized communication, Nigeria navigates complex socio-economic, technological, and cultural transformations. There is a compelling need to reimagine the scope, relevance, and application of English language and literary studies in fostering sustainable development. This conference serves as a critical platform for discussing how English studies can drive sustainable growth, foster innovation, and address the unique educational challenges within the Nigerian context.

Key Highlights & Sub-Themes
The sub-themes identified for this conference constitute coherent and mutually reinforcing strands through which the central theme can be rigorously interrogated. They reflect critical domains such as pedagogy, digital innovation, teacher development, policy, literature, multilingualism, discourse, literacy, and sustainability - where English Studies intersects with pressing national and global priorities. Collectively, these strands provide a structured yet flexible framework for scholarly engagement, enabling participants to explore emerging frontiers, share context-responsive practices, and generate actionable insights.
By situating research, pedagogy, and policy within these thematic clusters, the conference aims to stimulate meaningful dialogue, bridge theory–practice divides, and foreground English Studies as a strategic driver of inclusive and sustainable development in Nigeria.
