The British Council, in partnership with ELTAN, is pleased to announce a One-Day Free English Connects Workshop for English language teachers in Plateau State.

Scheduled for Saturday, 24 January 2026, this in-person professional development workshop will take place at Crispan Hotels, Rayfield, Jos and will commence at 9:00 a.m. (Nigerian Time).

The workshop is themed “Managing ELT Classrooms” and is designed to support English language teachers with practical strategies for effective classroom management in diverse teaching contexts. Participants will engage in interactive sessions that focus on enhancing teaching effectiveness, learner engagement, and classroom organisation, drawing on current ELT best practices.

This initiative forms part of the English Connects programme, funded by the British Council and delivered by ELTAN, aimed at strengthening the professional capacity of English language teachers across Nigeria.
